June Crook, DVM - Growing up on a farm outside a small town in Arkansas, Dr. Crook knew from an early age that she wanted to be a veterinarian.  On her journey to becoming a veterinarian, she first became an RN.  She worked in the ICU, ER, and served as a flight nurse with an air rescue company.  Her love for animals was still strong however and she decided to go back to her original wish to be a veterinarian.

Dr. Crook graduated from the University of Missouri Veterinary Medical School in 1996.  She then pursued an internship in emergency and critical care at the Veterinary Institute of Trauma, Emergency and Critical Care in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. 

Dr. Crook has been at Animal Urgent Care since 1997 and currently serves as the Director of Medicine.  She shares her home with her husband and two beautiful children.  They have three energetic dogs, Mu, Shu and Stu and two petulant cats, Norman and Vinnie.

Robert L. Berschauer, DVM- Dr. Berschauer is a long time resident of Southern California.  Having moved to California from the East Coast shortly prior to high school, Dr. Berschauer developed an interest in veterinary medicine working at hospitals in the South Orange County area since the age of 15.  Throughout his undergraduate education at the University of California, Irvine, he worked emergency shifts as a veterinary technician.  He has maintained a passion for emergency medicine since that time.

In 1997, Dr. Berschauer received his doctorate in veterinary medicine from the University of California Davis School of Veterinary Medicine.  Following graduation, he initially spent time working locally at a private practice in San Clemente with some occasional relief shifts at Animal Urgent Care and has been a full time doctor with us ever since.

Dr. Berschauer maintains strong interest in emergency medicine and critical care and has been a member of the veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Association since 1999.  He has continued to attend many conferences and continuing education opportunities in emergency and critical care and always strives to give the best care to his patients. 

Laura Daniels, DVM – Dr. Daniels was born and raised in San Diego, California.  She graduated summa cum laude from the University of California, San Diego in 1994, and received her veterinary degree from the University of California, Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 1998. 

Following graduation, she completed a medical/surgical internship at the Texas A&M University, School of Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Daniels returned to her home in Southern California and worked for six years in private practice locally before coming to Animal Urgent Care.

When she isn’t working, Dr. Daniels enjoys spending time with Scarlett, her Staffordshire terrier, running, and playing tennis.
