Marina Songer has been in the veterinary field since 1987. She began by managing and serving as the lead veterinary technician at a day practice for thirteen years, which taught her a lot about the precious bond between companion animals and their “moms and dads.”
She currently holds the position of hospital administrator which keeps her very busy since AUC services approximately sixty local referring veterinary hospitals.
Marina is a long time resident of San Clemente, where she lives with her husband of over twenty-five years, Dan, and their furry four-footed and feathered babies.

Amy- (Lead Receptionist), Amy has worked in the field since 1998. Amy earned her B.A. from CSULB. She has always had a love for animals and wanted a career working with them. She has two cats, Noah and Six, and a dog, Daisy, at home. In her free time she enjoys making hand-crafted cards and spending time with her husband and daughter.
Angel-(Receptionist/Floor Nurse), Angel has been in the field since 1997. She is married and has two children. Angel and her family share their home with an American Bulldog named Keira, a Chihuahua named Shredder, two cats and a rabbit.
Danielle- (Receptionist), Danielle has been working in the field since 2008. She has a B.A. in business. Danielle lives with her husband and twin girls. She enjoys horseback riding, shopping and spending time with her family.
Jan (Receptionist), has been in the veterinary field for over twenty years. She has been at AUCC for almost two years. Jan has raised countless kittens over the years and she does a great job as "mommy" to all the little orphans that cross her path. When she's not working or caring for kittens, she enjoys bike riding, going to the beach and gardening. She shares her home with her husband, kitties "Momo" and "Spencer", and her friendly dog, Robbie (who was a rescue!)
Sophia- (Receptionist), Sophia lives with her husband and four cats. She enjoys snow boarding, kayaking, bike riding and trying new things. She has been working in the field since 2008.

Ana - (Technician Assistant) - Ana has experience in day practice and emergency and has been with us since 2006 (and has been in the field since 2004). Ana is married and has two little ones that keep her very busy. She also shares her home with her two cats, Ameli and Ofelia. Ana's hobbies include fishing, roller skating and she actually aspires to be in the Roller Derby someday!
Brigitte-(Veterinary Technician), Brigitte got started in her career through a family friend who was a veterinarian and has been in the field since 2000. Brigitte has a special interest in critical care medicine. She has a B.A. in Religious Studies, having graduated cum laude. She is currently working toward her M.A. in Special Education. She enjoys baking and spending time with her husband and 3 children. They share their home with a Brittany spaniel named Brody, a Golden Retriever named Biscuit and two cats, Benji and Rosie.
Debbie - (Registered Veterinary Technician) - Debbie began at AUCC in the summer of 2010 but has enjoyed working with animals for a long time. She is a busy mom who loves animals and working with them (she also works at a local day practice). When she's not working, Debbie enjoys concerts, going to church, planning her wedding and spending time with her family, her fiancé and her little boy.
Dorah – (Registered Veterinary Technician) – Dorah has worked in the capacity of technician and manager for day practices for over eleven years. She started at our facility in the summer of 2011. Dorah has been married for ten years and has two little boys and an adorable boston terrier named Mr. Moto, who all keep her very busy. When she isn’t busy working and running a household, she enjoys reading, cooking and spending time with her family.
Ismael-(Veterinary Technician), “Ish” has been working in the field since 1995. He has a special interest in surgery. He shares his home with his wife, Jeanette, their cats Moxie, Ripley, Chester, Nacho, Oscar, their dog, Seamus, and a bird, named Lulu. In his free time, Ish enjoys spending time with his family, watching wrestling, football, baseball, basketball and admiring classic and low-rider cars.

Jackie – (Veterinary Technician) – Jackie has a bachelor’s degree in biology and is currently in the process of getting her RVT license. She has been in the field for four years and has been busy in the capacity of technician and manager at the day practice where she currently works. Someday she also plans on becoming a pilot as well! When Jackie’s not working, she enjoys going to the beach, watching movies and travel. She shares her home with her two cuddly kitties, Lucy and Casey.
Jason- (Veterinary Technician), Jason has been in the field since 2002. At his first job in the field he had first applied for a kennel assistant position but worked his way up to a management position quickly. Once he started, he knew that he wanted to be a veterinary technician and make helping animals his career. He and his lovely wife and young son share their home with a cat and three dogs.
Jeanette- (Registered Veterinary Technician), Jeanette has been in the field since 1996 where she got started in her veterinary career through an ROP program. She is a member of VECCS and CVMA. Jeanette has an interest in exotics and critical care of neonates. In addition to her RVT license she is working toward a B.S. in biology. She enjoys snow boarding, antique shopping and caring for all her “babies”. She lives with her husband, Ish and their brood listed above.
Jeff - (Registered Veterinary Technician), Jeff has a special interest in cardiology and surgery. He has been the field since 1995 and is a member of VECCS and ASPCA. Jeff graduated from Professional Veterinary Assistant School with Honors. He has a cat named Jarrett and enjoys hiking, surfing, sports, playing guitar and song writing.
Jennifer (Registered Veterinary Technician) Jen is the proud mom to three fur babies, her dog Bella and a cat named Boy. When she's not working she enjoys fishing and taking the dogs to the beach. She has been at AUCC since 2009 and has worked in the field since 1999. She loves learning new skills and expanding her knowledge base in veterinary medicine.
Jordan - (Veterinary technician) - Besides being a technician, Jordan does a fabulous job being a floor nurse (due to her excellent organizational skills!). She has been in the field since 1997 and has been at AUCC since 2010. Jordan enjoys hiking, dancing, swimming and traveling. She is "mom" to three dogs, Punky, Squirt and Megan, 2 cockatiels and an African Sulcata.
Kelsea – (Receptionist and technician assistant) – Kelsea has been in this field for four years, primarily working in a day practice. Prior to her working in a veterinary hospital, she worked with humane societies helping to socialize pets for adoption. She has been at AUCC since May of 2011 and she says that she loves being part of such a great team! Kelsea aspires to finish her bachelor’s degree in fine arts and eventually earn her master’s degree in photography. She is a busy mom with a 14 month old daughter, a kitty named Liger and her pup Delilah.

Melinda (Technician Assistant) - Melinda has been at AUCC for three years now and aspires to be a surgical technician. She loves her teddy bear hamster "Stewart" and her fish and turtles. In her spare time, Melinda enjoys reading, going to the movies and spending time with her family.
Nicole - (Veterinary Technician) Nicole has been in the field since 2006. She earned her Associates degree in Liberal Arts and is currently continuing her education at UCI. "Nikki" shares her home with her dog, Frankie B. and her cat, Bikini. When she's not at school or working, she enjoys reading, going to the beach and shopping.
Robert (Veterinary Technician) - Robert has been in the veterinary field since 1999. He got his start in veterinary medicine through an R.O.P. course in high school and has never looked back. Robert is a very experienced technician and he has worked in internal medicine, oncology, neurology, critical care and emergency practices (sometimes simultaneously!). He has a boisterous Boston Terrier named Hadji (who is his best friend). When Robert's not working, he enjoys scuba diving and video games. He is currently going to school to pursue a career in human medicine.
Tiffany (Registered Veterinary Technician) - Tiffany works part time and has been at AUCC since 2007. She has been in the field for eight years. She has earned a BS in pre-vet science as well as her RVT certification. She is currently studying to become a nurse. She lives with her partner and her dog "Chase" and enjoys walking, movies, camping and photography. Tiffany says she loves working at AUCC which allows her to take great care of our client's beloved pets.
Vanessa-(Registered Veterinary Technician), Vanessa got started in her career through an ROP program in high school. She has been in the field since 2000. Vanessa shares her home with her partner, Alaine and her stepdaughter Sophie. She has two small poodles at home, Noodle and Chicken.
